ACity Students Win at WorldStar Global Packaging Awards
Innovate, Prizes, Student Spotlight
Mentored by the Technology and Entrepreneurship Centre (TEC), Jeremy Acquaah, Sarah Akpedze Amewu, and Mohammed Yasin Abdul Wahab won the Sustainable Packaging Trophy at the 2026 WorldStar Global Packaging Awards, organized by the World Packaging Organization.
Their project, Eco Haven Waakye Packaging, was recognized for its environmental sustainability, practicality, and global relevance. Selected from 246 entries across 90 institutions in 23 countries, the team’s achievement highlights Academic City’s growing contribution to global innovation and sustainability-focused design.
