TEC Engages StArfrica on Startup Funding and Innovation
On February 17, 2025, the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center (TEC), alongside key university members and faculty from the Business and Entrepreneurship Department, hosted a delegation from StArfrica – Startup Germany-Africa for an engaging session on startup funding and entrepreneurial support.
The discussion highlighted the EXIST Business Startup Grant, a German government-backed initiative offering financial aid, coaching, and resources to innovative, technology-driven startups. StArfrica also introduced additional programs, including the Entrepreneurship Exchange Program, the 10 Faces Changing Africa initiative supporting female entrepreneurs, and the German Startup Consultant Course designed for capacity building.
The event featured a student mini-pitch session, where teams presented their business ideas and received valuable feedback. Faculty and staff explored opportunities for collaboration, further strengthening Academic City University’s role in fostering innovation and international partnerships.
