Academic City University College, through its Technology and Entrepreneurship Centre, has partnered with United Way Ghana to launch the “Green4Clean” project. This initiative seeks to educate students on renewable energy and energy efficiency, with the goal of reducing reliance on fossil fuels and promoting sustainability.

Piloted at La Enobal Basic School and Presbyterian Basic School, the project includes a Trainer of Trainers (TOT) program where teachers will receive training in solar energy, wind energy, and biogas systems. These trained teachers will then impart their knowledge to pupils at the schools.

Academic City engineering students will mentor pupils, guiding them in creating installations and encouraging sustainable energy practices. The project also aims to integrate renewable energy education into the curriculum, fostering environmental responsibility and inspiring future careers in the renewable energy sector.

This collaboration aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, advancing sustainable practices while contributing to the personal and educational growth of young learners.
