In March 2025, Academic City University, through its Technology and Entrepreneurship Center, co-hosted the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge – Ghana Edition with The MakersPlace. The competition brought together students from across the country to design robotic solutions for disaster response, tackling challenges such as fire emergencies, earthquake survivor detection, and emergency aid delivery.

These projects moved beyond theoretical learning, offering practical, real-world solutions. The event reinforced the role of robotics in problem-solving, creativity, and hands-on education, preparing students to address critical global issues.

Two winning teams will represent Ghana at the UN’s AI For Good Global Summit in Geneva, where they will present their innovations to global leaders and technology experts.

By supporting initiatives like this, Academic City University continues to empower young innovators, equipping them with the skills and opportunities to develop impactful solutions for the future.
