Collaboration with U.S. Embassy Explores STEAM Projects
TEC has been exploring collaboration opportunities with the U.S. Embassy. Virginia Elliot, the Public Affairs Counselor, Stephanie Hutchison, the Economic Section Chief, and Madam Claudia Howell recently met with Makafui Awuku, the Manager of the TEC, to discuss ongoing STEAM projects at the university.
These projects include the ventilator project and Goliath Robotics, a student startup being incubated at the university. The teams are exploring the possibility of working together on American Corner events. American Corner, located in the same community as ACity, provides access to current and reliable information about the United States through book collections, internet access, and various events and activities for everyone. We are proud to be partnering with the U.S. State Department through the CCE lab, which aims to create an enabling environment for climate innovations. As part of this partnership, we have launched a climate incubation programme in collaboration with Telesto Strategy, a Chicago-based organisation focused on supporting women. This programme is incubating several green startups in Ghana.
