Webinar Brings Together Changemakers to Tackle Plastic Waste
Leading up to World Environment Day, the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center hosted a webinar on the theme “Designing and Implementing Plastic Waste Sustainability Projects.”
The session brought together over 50 participants from nine countries, all working or interested in addressing plastic pollution in their communities. In line with this year’s World Environment Day theme, #BeatPlasticPollution, the webinar focused on practical tools and strategies for developing and managing impactful plastic waste initiatives.
The session was led by Makafui Awuku, environmentalist and Manager of the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center. He introduced participants to the Circular Economy Model Canvas and Design Thinking, and shared insights on proposal writing, securing funding, and communicating project impact.
It was a practical and engaging session, designed to help participants move from idea to action, and to connect with others working on similar challenges across the continent.
