Sustain City 2.0 Project
The Sustain City 2.0 project focuses on recycling plastic waste to keep it out of the environment. It transforms discarded plastics into durable raw materials for creating products like robotic kits that support STEAM education in rural Ghana.
Building on the original initiative, this phase develops machines to recycle plastic into 3D printing filament and other useful items. So far, a plastic shredder, filament maker, and injection mold machine have been built in collaboration with students from Academic City University College, the University of Dayton, and Millersville University.
The goal of this phase is to produce plastic raw materials for building robotic kits and sustainability learning games, while teaching young people how to use these machines to create solutions. The project also seeks to replicate these interventions in schools, helping them set up small sustainability labs to promote environmental awareness.
